Condescension (A Poem)

Majesty in lowliness revealed:
All our hope
For we had been brought low

Divinity in mortal flesh concealed
Which otherwise
Would blind our frail eyes

The law of written ordinance repealed
That we might live
Who had been held captive

Redemption by His crucifixion sealed
With His own blood --
Our greatest sin inverted to our good.
